On Saturday, February 18, we will be offering our Open Campus for those who are interested in the GLOBIS MBA as well as the  April 2017 Pre-MBA Program.

 

At this event you will have the opportunity to experience an MBA trial class, hear a detailed explanation of our programs, and meet one of our students/graduates.

About the Trial Class

How can we become more effective leaders? Participants in this trial class will discover the importance of emotions in business, and how their effective management is a key step toward better organizational leadership. 

 

Using case studies that reveal surprising insights from real Japanese businesses, lecturer Trond Varlid, who has had extensive international marketing and senior executive experience from Europe, the U.S. and Asia, will facilitate interactive and practical discussions that are typical of a GLOBIS MBA class.

What is the Pre-MBA Program?

Through our Pre-MBA Program, students may take MBA courses before officially enrolling in our MBA Programs. If they are accepted into the MBA program of their choice, Pre-MBA students can transfer the credits they earned to their MBA program and the tuition they paid as Pre-MBA students will be deducted from their total MBA tuition.

Biography:

Mr. Trond Varlid has extensive international marketing and senior executive experience from Europe, the U.S. and Asia.

His career experience includes 15 years in corporate banking in London and Tokyo, two years as Japan country manager for an Asian online wealth management company based in Singapore, and 7 years as President of Tomra Japan—an environmental technology joint venture between Sumitomo Corporation and Tomra, a pioneer and global market leader in sorting technology for materials recycling.

He is President and Co-Founder EMC Quest K.K., helping business professionals in Tokyo become better presenters and communicators—and coaches executives on dealing with difficult management, HR and personal challenges.

He is currently also Program Director of the JMEC Business Training Program in Tokyo, a unique and hands-on training program for mid-career business professionals—operated by 18 foreign Chambers of Commerce in Japan.
