Since the launch of its first fund in 1996, GLOBIS Capital Partners has grown to become one of Japan’s leading venture capital firms, investing in over 120 companies and overseeing several IPOs. Many of GLOBIS’ faculty actively manage ventures and incorporate their front-line experiences into the curriculum. GLOBIS Corporate Education delivers tailor-made programs to clients, with courses that closely relate to the clients’ interests and needs. These innovative training methods have helped attract a stream of users, allowing GLOBIS Corporate Education to spin off into a stand-alone business unit. As of 2014, GLOBIS has provided training programs to over 500 companies, with approximately 58,000 corporate managers and employees attending our sessions.
GLOBIS provides students with extensive career services and collaborates with over 70 partner companies within the Corporate Mentorship Program. Corporate Mentors offer opportunities for GLOBIS students to deepen the scope of their learning through activities including on-site visits, corporate research projects, seminars, special courses and internships. Japanese partners include the likes of Nissan Motor, Toshiba and Hitachi Consulting, while foreign partners include GE Japan, Hewlett-Packard Japan and Johnson & Johnson. A variety of start-ups also take part in the program, providing students with a variety of opportunities to hone their skills.
